Steve Dent is a self taught artist who originates from Pelsall, a village on the edge of the Black Country, close to the historic city of Lichfield in Staffordshire.
Moving to Cornwall 22 years ago, Steve now lives on the Gannel River, a tidal estuary between Newquay and Crantock.
Steve paints a wide variety of subjects including The American West from 1800 (The Mountain Men Era) to the 1870s (The Plains Indian Wars) - Seascapes & Tidal River Scenes of Cornwall - Maritime Paintings of the Days of Sail (including Sea Battles of The American War of Independence) - Myths & Legends, plus historical subjects of his home, Pelsall Village. Steve uses oil paint on stretched canvas to produce all his work.
